It's that time of the year....

Over at Scrappin Patch there's been some talk about our scrap rooms, tidy vs messy and who can work in what. I'm such a tidy scrapper, I need to put things away as I go, so I thought I'd share a couple of photos of my room, before it's sold and no longer my room! And the view is the view from my scrapbooking room, and because the tides in and it's such a nice day I thought that I'd share it.

Had to show my Christmas tree, just because it's Christmas LOL.

And those cherries are my all time favourite summer fruit. I must do a layout about cherries. Growing up we never ever had real cherries. Mum didn't like the fake cherries and I imagine that's probably all we could get up here in those days. A few years after meeting Lyall we were out getting the shopping together and he saw real cherries and was like, 'lets grab some of those' to which I replied something along the lines of 'YUK!' However we got them, he got me to try them and I've been hooked ever since. He now regrets that...not the cheapest fruit in the world lol.

It's that time of the year when working as a kindergarten teacher is so much fun. Take ninety excited children throw in a bit of Christmas spirit (and I don't mean the alcohol kind here....though I wonder if that would calm one or two down hmmm ROFL), and it equals a lot of fun.

K chatting to R while they were playing in the dress up area "so after Santa comes down the chimney how does he get back up?" R replies "well he has this magic button on his hat and he presses it, and wooooooooo up he goes" Gotta love that way of thinking! With this hot weather, they've been out in their undies running around under the hose. Great childhood memories. Christmas songs playing in the background...

Enjoy your Friday, we're off on a trip tomorrow to a farm, so am hoping this weather stays around for a bit longer. Saturday is our Beachlands/Maraetai Christmas party/ carols by candlelight (held at our marina, a bit nice really!) except Milo hates the fireworks so we will have to bugger off early and take him out in the car while they are on. Next week the fire engine comes around the streets with santa on, throwing lollies at us!

Your scrap space looks awesome! I am a tidy scrapper too, so I love the look of your room!

Funny that you should mention your cherry experience. It is very similar to mine! I used to hate them because we never had "real" ones. I only tried a real one for the first time a couple of years ago, and like you, I thought they were so yummy!

Oh, and I LOVE your Christmas tree, just beautiful.

That is one tidy space!

Mmm, I love cherries too. Central Otago would be the place to be this time of year, for sure.

Have a neat day at the farm today:)

Mmmmmm, cherries are my fave too - but they have to be dark and firm and sweet. Nothing better! Great to see your scrap room; I can just picture you sitting there creating. But man, you are tidy!!
