Merry Christmas

I sit here as my hubby flies back from a weekend in Auckland.  He thinks that I haven't mowed the lawns...but they are done, the weeding is done and the rubbish has gone to the tip.  No sitting around doing nothing here!

This little guy and his two mates are now in an outside hutch.  No more towels to wash three times a day.  But it does take a little longer in the mornings to do the feed rounds as it's all got to go from the laundry out to them etc.  Still, it will only be a few more weeks and they'll be big enough to self release (fly off when they are ready).

We don't usually get many quail at our place, but this pair seem to have made it home.  They wait till I've fed the chickens and then come and help clean up the leftovers.  Very cute, however I didn't know they were such noisy little buggers.

Yes,  I have still been scrapping.  Enjoying doing layouts and looking forward to doing project life again next year.  Now that I've done it for a few years, I know how to make it work for me, and I'm enjoying collecting a few bits and bobs to embellish it a bit.  Also planning to use my Cameo a lot when doing project life, as well.

I don't have a Christmas tree up this year.  Not sure where Santa will put the presents lol.  No, I'm not being bah humbug about it, but we have the carpet up in a few rooms and we plan on redoing our kitchen over the Christmas break, and getting the cracks in the floors repaired.  I'm not sure what my part of redoing the kitchen is...fetching and carrying maybe?  Not sure how good my cabinet making skills are ;-)  Maybe I could just scrapbook instead lol.  Of course at some point over that break, all our hay will be getting cut and baled so we'll have to get it into the shed.  Not a job I enjoy, but it has to be done.  Rewarding and satisfying once it is done, always good to know that the animals will have feed for the winter.

I usually say have a good week at this point, but maybe I'd better say have a good Christmas, in case I don't get back on here before then!
