A few people have asked how things are progressing with Donna's house. Like most building there was a bit of a hold up, they reached a point and were waiting for more stuff to arrive, and waiting, and waiting. This last week has seen it arrive and being done.
So the house is plumbed and the power cables all put through. The batts are in the walls but we still need to do the ceiling. When that's done, then a council inspection will happen. Then the gib can go up. After that it's all the pretty stuff lol - painting, bathroom, kitchen, carpet...Hoping to help her shift next door around April ;-)
Christchurch is the most dog friendly place I've ever lived. There are dog parks all over the city. These are especially fenced areas where dogs can run off the lead, and they have water for them to drink, most have a stream or pond to play in, most have an agility course of some description. Each Sunday, one of the dog parks, called Styx Mill does something called 'small dog Sunday'. As the title states, it's pretty much all small dogs hooning around, having a ball. Our dogs love big dogs (Archie loves Vicki's dog Brodie lol), but they do adore being with others their size, so most Sunday's we head there for play. There are usually about fifty small dogs and their owners. When they get home, they are zonked. Or hungry.
But ever so cute!
Have a great week folks.

Molesworth Station
What a lovely weekend we've just had...Friday night saw us head up to Hanmer Springs as we were heading off with the four wheel drive club, through Molesworth Station. You can only get through this high country station for a few months over summer and early autumn, after that the risk of snow becomes to high and so the roads are closed from April. The day ended at Blenheim, where we spent the night, hit the Farmers market this morning, and then wandered down the coast home. Some of our club were heading up to a spot near Nelson and four wheel driving through another station back to Hanmer and then back to Christchurch about eleven hours drving. That would have made to longer a day for us, with having work tomorrow lol.
Here's a layout for Scrappin Patch.
Right, off to do the weekends washing and ironing...

Happy birthday Mandy!
From a tiny tot we were often taken to speedway at Western Springs. In my teenage years I was much more of a groupie - being in the supporters club and helping in the supporters caravan (selling speedway merchandise). A night at speedway would be followed up by a bbq in the car park before heading home at one or two in the morning. Often I'd be back up at five in the morning as I'd have a show to attend (horses). And I loved it.
On Saturday night we headed out to speedway in Christchurch - Ruapuna Park. It was a great night, and I remembered how much I love the smell of methanol fuel lol. We got home just after midnight, I still had to lock the chickens up for the night and then have a shower before heading to bed. I probably went to sleep about one. So why is it, that one 'late' night has me exhausted - it's Monday and I still don't feel like I've caught up on my sleep!! I know I'm an early to bed, early to rise kind of a girl, but this is nuts, I'm not that old LOL.
Here is my layout for the challenge over at Challenge Me Happy.
It needed one photo, two different cardstock (one white for the base and one which I cut into four squares and sent through the cuttlebug). Three journalling spots. Four words in the title (now that was tricky lol). Five patterned papers - green strip, yellow strip, blue strip, all the circles (one piece of pp) and the banner. Six butterflies - and a bit of ink and paint.
I think I should head back to bed now lol. Or go and buy some coke...mmmm coke...LOL. Actually I should empty the dishwasher etc - yep, that's what I SHOULD do!
Have a great week everyone.
