It's a no photo post! I knew I should have taken my camera....this afternoon we popped into the hospital, as a friend of ours is on complete bed rest, waiting for the birth of baby number two (and being a small world got talking to one of her midwives and that midwife knows me lol). Anyway, I should have taken the camera because the blossom in Hagley Park is just stunning. There were a lot of people out taking photos.
Still I think I'll make up for it next week, as I will have spent the weekend with some wonderful friends, at our girls weekend in KAikoura. Stupid IPad always adds an uppercase A to that word! I have no idea how to change it! So a weekend of photos, great company, good food, the odd bit of scrapbooking. Really, what more could I ask for!
So not a lot of news this week, and a half done layout on my desk. Still coughing, like the Dr said I would be...but feeling much better and energy levels are increasing each day, so that's got to be a good thing hey. Have a great week people :-)

Spring has sprung
Cough, cough. Cough, cough, cough. Yep, that's been my week. I went to work on Monday, crawled into bed in the afternoon, went to the Dr a little later, and then spent the week at home, which of course is the best place to be when your sick.
I'm certainly on the up and up now, feeling much better, but the Dr did warn me that the cough will linger for about four weeks and the energy levels won't be great for about the same length of time. Still, such is life, that's not long in the scheme of things.
With being home I've managed to finish off another layout. I'd played with my gelato's a few weeks ago and the background of this layout was the result, so this week I just added a few bits and bobs to it each day, till I'd had enough lol.
Isn't it funny when I see it on here, I think..."oh should have placed that title a bit higher...etc". Funny how you see it differently on the computer, to it sitting in front of you on your desk.
Interesting to read that Nic Howard is giving up scrapbooking altogether. She's done a huge amount for the industry, especially in this country, over the years. I'm glad I've done a few of her classes, and a few of her kits... One of the reasons I've never tried out for a design team is that it then becomes a job. I already have a job I love. I don't want another one, with deadlines and parameters of what I can and can't do. I can scrap ten pages in a week, or ten in a year. Nobody cares, different if you have to do it, you must get burnt out by it all at some stage I'd imagine.
