Random dude...

I've been tagged twice so best I get off my butt and share with you some random stuff about me!Kim managed to tag me first and then and Mandy followed closely behind (it's Melbourne Cup day you see had to fit a bit of 'racing' in there!)

Hmmm some random info about me...

I get up at five thirty every morning. Even on the weekends. I can't sleep in, to many years of getting up early as is par for the course when you worked with horses. Sometimes I'll lie in bed and read, which I love, but I'm still wide awake.

I've broken both ankles, my big toe on my right foot, my left foot and my pinky finger on my right hand.

I met my husband in Whitianga when we both went away as part of a bigger group.

I've always had a pet. At one point I had thirteen guinea pigs. My last guinea pig died three years ago. My last horse I got when he was five, straight off the race track and he was put down when he was twenty three because he went through a fence and broke his pelvis.

I only got a cellphone last Christmas. Lyall brought it for me for a bit of safety since I have to travel rural roads at night.

I played goal attack in netball for years, right into my late twenties, then the games which were meant to be friendly just became too rough, and I needed to work not be injured!

So there's my six random facts. Do you have a horse in the Cup? Good luck!

13 guinea pigs?! The netball playing explains the broken ankles then huh?!

...weren't you supposed to do 7 Trace ... I can't sleep in either after all these years - very annoying sometimes! but I do manage to sleep past 5.30am!!

Goal attack now that's something I didn't know ... I always liked goal shoot best ... too lazy to run further. What do you do between 5.30 and the time you leave for work then? That's enough time to scrap a layout!

FIVE-THIRTY?! You're insane! That's the middle of the night! ;-)

Amazing that you survived so long without a cellphone. My Dad resisted for ages and only got his about a year ago (and it was second-hand!) ... now it's like another appendage, ROFL!

I'm the same as you Trace, 5:30am in the week, then I am just about human by the time I get to work at 8am, but 4:45am on a Saturday as No2 has to be up to do a milk round and still needs crashing cymbols to wake him up!
Loved the randoms -

So cool to learn more about you, Trace.

And may I say so spooky too! In a nice way, of course; i.e. the guinea pigs, early riser, St Johns Ambulance Cadets.....
