The week in words.

Nope we weren't flooded in our neck of the woods, but there were a few puddles around and my sister went to check out a local river which is usually a trickle, and found the bridge awash lol. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods - watching the news last night I see Mosgiel is getting a bit of a drench, so Mich, hope your not caught in that.

Not much happening here - a wet week at work. Kids stuck inside for most of the session - though we did let them wrap up and go jump in the puddles for a bit. Took the dogs to the dog park yesterday and thought we'd be the only nutters there, only to find it was actually pretty busy and so it made me realise there are far more nutters in Christchurch than I originally thought LOL. Or should I say caring dog owners. Note to self though - must go and buy an Akubra type hat, woolly ones are warm but don't do much for keeping the rain off.

I've done another layout but the weather is just too sucky to take a decent photo of it. Am heading into my scraproom shortly to update PL. Haven't seen the mountains for a week - can't wait to see how much snow is on them. Another month or so and we shall head inland with the dogs for a snowy photo shoot - can't wait!

Went to the beauty therapist yesterday for a mini facial, what luxury that was. Need one about eight thirty at night I think and then you could just curl up and go to sleep, oh and maybe a foot massage as well lol. Yep, it just ain't gonna happen lol.

Enjoy your week people.

We had lots of rain but no flooding. And yes, there are always lots of "nutters" out there who like to exercise their dogs! Have your babies got raincoats, polarfleeces and booties? They might need them you know!

Have had so much rain in the last week, not just drizzle but very heavy. Luckily today I can see patches of blue sky and the sun is shining!
Stream at the bottom of our street was level with floodbanks yesterday arvo, also got that high on Wednesday as well - just pleased the rain stopped last night or else we would have had a bit water flowing down the street! A lot of surface flooding round Mosgiel, and think there is a lot of ponding on the Taieri Plains as Taieri River overflowed in a couple of areas.

Ya nutter ... lol ... and you've obviously got a nutty friend as well ... couldn't resist Vicki - lol after seeing your comment as well.

I'm sure that you are going to enjoy the view of snowy clad mountains ... awesome pics to come I'm thinking.

and I guess you have been singing the song at kindy - rain, rain, go away ... lol.

Hasn't it just been SO wet in places?! We've been pretty fortunate up here, compared to many places. I'm glad you weren't flooded in ChCh. Very scary for people living near rivers and streams ... hope it dries out soon as I don't think even the drought-striken farmers in Northland want to end up dealing with floods!

Well the quotient of nutters in Canterbury increased by at least one about a year ago I believe ... I was actually amazed that we didn't get flooded after all the warnings and pictures of what was going on nearby. The kids were mighty disappointed that they still had to go to school!

Your post brings back so many memories.......and looking out of the window it's still the same, and it's meant to be summer! :0) Hope we don't get the snow, although they had some in Scotland last week!!
Glad you're still managing to squeeze in your scrapbooking now your back working fulltime - look forward to seeing the layouts.

Trace, you are so good keeping up to date with you blogging. Love the photos of the dogs. I must admit our dog has been spending lots of time in front of the fire. I think he must have had a sore tummy this morning as he had raided the cats food yesterday!!! hehehe. Hoping things are fine and we must sort out a date for that tea!! will ring you!!!
