Whooosssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh....and the weekends gone. That's how this weekend has felt. Not that I'm complaining, after all, a weekend is a weekend lol. Yesterday I headed in and got my photos developed, did a quick look for some new clothes (was totally not in the right frame of mind) and was home by ten thirty. Then Donna asked if I'd go with her into town to grab a few more things and take the dogs for a run. And so at four in the afternoon we returned. There went my day scrapbooking. I spent the evening cutting up material for tablecloths, scarves and bean bags that I'm making for work.
This morning I got up and we headed off for breakfast as it's Donna's birthday. Two hours later we returned home, with kids in tow. Kids are still here. You know, someone else's house is always more exciting than your own! Their parents are enjoying a day out shopping with my sister. Again, the scrapbooking hasn't happened. I'm having withdrawals lol. We gave six year old Johnny the camera at breakfast, so will download his photos later and check them out - he was pretty taken with photographing our ears...they should make for some interesting shots! But I haven't managed to sew the scarves, beanbags etc that I cut out last night.
We finally have some rain, hoping we get just a little bit of warm weather to follow it, and that will turn our paddocks nice and green again. It's looking just a bit brown and dry out there at the moment. I think once the kids go home, I shall hit the bath. It's a long soak in the bath kind of day. Hmm maybe I could have a soak shortly and Lyall can be the babysitter. We have a Wii, that should keep them busy lol.
Next weekend I'm planning to head out to SP and pick up a few things and then I wonder if I put a big padlock on the door of my scraproom I might be able to spend the weekend in there??? Maybe a big do not disturb sign??? Maybe I should pack up and head away for the weekend??? Shall we go to Hanmer for the weekend Heidi (when Vicki's away we can play LOL!!)??? But then I guess we'd spend time in the hot pools and still no scrapping would be accomplished lol.
Enjoy your week.

I did manage to make a card for Grant its my birthday and our 15th wedding anniversary this wednesday so had to get a card made lol.Worked Saturday so yep my weekends gone in a flash too..
It sounds like that big lock on your scraproom door is a fantastic idea ... you just look yourself away and get some creating done ... it's about time I saw layouts on this blog. ;o)
You'll be looking forward to a working week! Or NOT!!!!!!
I had a huge few days making cards but looking at the state of my craftroom, I need to spend a weekend tidying it!
I have the same issue with weekends.. they go quickly and come around again far too slowly hehe and as for scrapping their hasn't been alot of that happening either so I totally understand your dilema :)
Weekends do end all too fast don't they!
Been meaning to ask you about places too see and visit up your way. Hubby is taking me to Hamner for a long weekend but will have a night or two round ChCh before that. I thought about visiting Jo Seagars at Oxford and maybe staying anight at Akaroa? Can you suggest any must visit places (and shops hehehe) ;)
Trace, sounds like a very busy weekend! Hopefully you can get lots of scrapping done next weekend!
Hope you can get some scrapping done this weekend. I hear you on finding the time. I have decided Sunday arvos will be my creative time, with this working full time lark and exercising I hardly have time for anything else. Oh but a trip away to hamner did sound like fun lol. ALthough I think you are right and that Heidi and you would spend time in the springs lol
where does the time disappear to alright! I'm suffering from scrap deprivation too! Wish I was heading to Timaru for Scrap for a Cause on saturday...would also be quite prepared to just soak in the pools at Hanmer!LOL
Hope you found a really big padlock for that door ...
Would be no good for me tho ... cos I can't actually shut the door, let alone padlock it!!!
Have fun drooling over the goodies at the shop!
Hey, I'm back now and you can put my name down for Hanmer!!!! LOL
