Wild weather on it's way...

Woke up yesterday morning to find a light dusting of snow on the mountains...and then woke up this morning and it was pretty much all gone. This time last year we were getting the odd shower of sleet at home and the mountains were chocka with snow. However I see that a big weather front is due to hit us for the next couple of days, lots of rain and wind. It's pretty brown in our part of town, so some rain will be good - hope it's not so much that flooding eventuates.

Yesterday I needed (yes needed I say!) a few scrapping supplies so popped out to Scrappin Patch. Followed by a hot chocolate, because my starving hubby needed breakfast, at a local Rolleston cafe. After this we headed just east of Rolleston to visit the people who bred Darcy. That was fun. The dogs had a wonderful time. In the middle photo, the dog on the left is Darcy's Mum, (the fairly white one), the dog in the middle is her Grandma (she's quite ginger) and then on the right is Darcy. Not the best photos in the world, but you try getting three lunatics to sit and look at a camera...especially while three other dogs are running around lol.

On the way home we stopped at Dress Mart, where I ran into Heidi Barclay and her family, and then once home, got out the giant imaginary padlock and locked myself away for hours on end in my scrapping room, only coming out for a quick dinner and shower lol. Well, it was nice and warm in there, with my heater going and I was on a roll! Finally got some unfinished layouts done - I seemed to have lost all my mojo and it was because I don't like having unfinished stuff sitting around. I need to do something, finish it, move on. On that note, Project Life is looking good, but full and we're only half way through the year lol.

If you aren't on Facebook then you should be, cos the wonderful Annelie has done a lovely layout of me - thanks Annelie, totally made my day - and I even spotted it in real life out at SP.

Monday I went to work. Then came home, sick. Spent Monday and Tuesday snuggled up in by lovely warm bed sleeping. Wednesday, right as rain, good as gold. Back to work.

Thursday night Donna and I shot out to Spotlight (it's about forty mins drive from home), as they had sent me a ten dollar voucher to use for that night only and Donna wanted a new duvet which we'd seen in their mailer. Got out there, she started studying the duvets, and I checked out the scrapbooking section, as you do, decided to get myself a wee bag for my cuttlebug as it was on special. And a couple of packs of needles for my sewing machine (it's been getting a work out with the kids at work this week). We go to the checkout, I actually read the ten dollar voucher, and realise we are there a week early LOL. Nice Spotlight lady didn't worry about it and gave us the ten dollars off anyway. Good on you Spotlight.

Gotta go. The dogs are calling my name, they want a run before the cruddy weather hits us. Then two layouts nearly finished...so back into my room I go, lucky Lyall's cooking roast for dinner!

Have a fab week everybody.

Grrrrrrrr, the internet keeps cutting out, so the photo collages won't upload, I'll have to try again in the morning.

Sorry to hear that you've been sick, I hope you are 100% again now. And I hope you guys haven't been blown away or flooded! It hasn't been too bad up here, despite dire predictions and reminders from Civil Defence to stock up the emergency kits! Yay for getting lots of scrapping done :-)

Good to see that the padlock did the trick on the door ... lol!!!

And hope that those germie bugs have gone to live somewhere else.

Well if you'd driven all that way it would be silly to come back empty handed ;-)
