It's blowing a gale outside and the rain is pelting against the windows. Earlier this afternoon we wrapped up warm, threw the coats on the dogs and took them out for a run. Poor old Darcy is in season, so hasn't been out much and is getting a bit stir crazy. Or it could just be her hormones lol. Either way they had a ball hooning around for a while. Yesterday while the weather was much nicer we took them down to the Domain in Cust, which is basically a huge big empty paddock with a cricket pitch at one end, and a riding arena at another, and it's surrounded by trees and away from the road. If there were any other dogs down there at that time, Darce would have had to stay in the car, but as luck would have it, no other dogs, so she got out for a couple of days in a row. We have our neighbours sheep in our paddock at the moment so the dogs can't go running around in there.
I've managed to get a layout and a half done this weekend, in my warm toasty scraproom. I got to catch up with Gaye at Riccarton Farmers Market. Lyall has been busy digging a new driveway and footing for a garage. He needs a garage...like I need a scraproom lol.
Mandy dared us online to upload some old photos to our blog. So yep, that is me as a kiddo, and me with my Dad and siblings. The photo of the goat and I, Vicki took at Mt Hutt retreat last year. These two goats had been tethered with no water for the two nights, and the whole of the Saturday that we were there. And no shelter. Goat have really thin skin, so feel the cold. So Sunday morning, Vicki and I took them some bread and water and they somehow got off there tethers as well. Don't know how that happened lol. Nope, we weren't being irresponsible, they had been hand reared and hung around the retreat - a lot less thirsty and hungry. The other photo, the sepia one, is of my darling nephew, who turns twenty one this month.
The collage is just a taste of what's happening in my neck of the woods at the moment. There's snow on the mountains. We had cheese scones for lunch (thanks Beverley, you know you had a hand in this don't you lol!). While at the domain yesterday we played rugby with Johnnie and Katie (our old Beachlands neighbours).
Right, it's too cold to sit here on the computer, must go put the hallway heat pump on! Have a great week all.
Hmm the collage will upload but not the old photos...sorry about that. Okay so I've tried five times and they aren't uploading, now I'll shoot the computer.

At first I thought that the little girl in your collage was you! But then I thought, "the dogs look the same as Trace's dogs", LOL! :-)
Great that you were able to get out with the dogs in some nice weather inbetween the rain etc.
