The first day of 2010

It's a shame you can't hear the wind blowing, it's fair on hooning around outside at the moment, I tell you!

We spent the last day of 2009 with some great company in a great spot. We shot up to Hamner Springs, spent a couple of hours soaking in the various hot pools chatting to the United Nations of tourists up there and then caught up with friends at dinner, chatting, enjoying a wee tipple, admiring the blue moon and then walked back to our motel next door. The first day of 2010 we meandered back home, laughed our heads off when my brother in law got zapped by an electric fence while taking a photo...had a nana nap with the air conditioners on full blast as it was 35.6 degrees, even the cat and dog wouldn't move. The cat hardly ever sleeps on her back, but she was today lol!

The two collages are a reflection of yesterday and today and the photo of Lyall is just such a lovely shot that I had to share it. I have to say my hay fever has improved now that all that long seeding grass has been baled and moved on to it's new home.

So a big Happy New Year to you all, may it bring all that you wish. If you've made resolutions here's to sticking to them. I'm still thinking about mine lol.

Yep ... noticed it was kinda windy around Christchurch when our plane came in to land ... loved the warmth there though ... would have been nice to stay longer than 20 mins! Hamner is top on my list of places to see.

Boy did we have some wind the other night, and it got quite chilly. Hot again now tho and all the hairy ones are lying around nana-napping . No more fights, Riley has learnt some manners! He's got very smoochy
...altogether a much nicer boy!

Happy New Year Trace. Just been catching up. Luckily Beverley let me know about your move before Xmas, or I would have been shocked. Lovely pressies you got from the parents, and Pandora, who could ask for anything more. How exciting getting a new dog. Sounds like 2010 is going to be a great year for Lyall and yourself. Loved looking at your photos of your trips out and about and around the home. How is the WII going? I got one for Xmas and been having some fun playing with that.
