Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you all - may it bring all that you hope for. Today is also the day that my blog celebrates it's first birthday...so leave a comment between now and when ever I post next and I'll throw your name in a draw for some goodies.

Usually I don't do New Years resolutions...or they go something along the lines of the fact that I'm going to eat, drink and have fun for the year - because I know I can do those ones LOL! However this year I've decided to write a couple down. One is that I want to do the fear of flying course. Two, sell the house. And three, to make healthier choices, more often than not when eating. That's an easy one when I'm at home but much harder when out. An example being that Lyall, Donna and I were out yesterday and thought we'd have lunch at one of those upmarket pubs - having talked to the chef the only thing on the menu that I could eat was a bowl of chips (which by the way I didn't end up with, I sat and sipped my drink while they ate the most delicious looking and smelling pizzas). A lot of the food is prepared (eg the chicken was all marinated, the sauce for the pizza's had garlic in it, the salads were all dressed...)Now I understand that this has to be done to save time, but it does make eating out tricky. Still such is life.

Oh we went up Rangitoto a few days ago. It was great. I'll download the photos over the next few days and put them on here to share.

Enjoy your New Year's day.

Happy New Year, Trace! And a very happy birthday to your blog :-)

It must be really difficult for you to eat healthily when you're out, as so many things have garlic in them. You did well to resist all food at your lunch yesterday!

Happy New Year Trace and Happy blogaversary. Bumma about only being able to eat a bowl of chips when you went out, that must be difficult. BTW the cream that you recommended certainly helped. Go you on doing the flying course.....

Thanks for the comment Trace... and honestly I was at 3.30am running through the list of North Shore/Auckland girls... trying to see if I could remember surnames... but to be more honest if I'd left I wouldn't have slept...
But I love that you offered... you are amazing. Thank you XX
