1. This is NZ Scrapbook shop, which is where we cropped yesterday.

2. From front to back, Rachel (who has the cat in the hat avatar on SB. The very talented and lovely Tracy L, and Michelle W (Harbourgal). All busy at work and pretending they can't see my camera LOL!

3. BOM - Something Old

4. BOM - Bad Habit

5. BOM - Life before scrapbooking

It's official, I get nothing done when I'm on a daytime crop. I managed to get one layout finished, and two started, but generally I hit the wall about three ish. On most of the other crops I've been on, that hasn't really mattered as it's about then, or not too long after that I've needed to make a move (places to go, people to see...) However surrounded by such talent yesterday, made me very uninspired with my own work, and the photos etc that I'd taken to play with, so really not much at all got done. I did buy a couple of things...I read magazines, thanks to Tracy, Hannah and Megan, oh I mean I looked at the pictures LOL!

Whereas today I finished off the two layouts that I started, have got three quarters through my Olympic one, grouted the tiling in the bathroom (that Lyall with his sore shoulder put down yesterday, why don't they listen to the Dr??), vacumned, washed the dog, mowed the lawns, weeded one garden, walked the dog, ironed, put away a load of laundry...I work best when I scrap a bit, put the washing on, scrap a bit more, hang the washing out, scrap a bit, bring the washing in...you get the picture! So for the retreat I'm thinking I'll take a heap of cards with sketches to do when I'm scrapped out! Or go for a walk with my camera. Or have a nana nap LOL!

Enjoy your week. Oh and Tracy, the worst part of my job...PAPERWORK! Bet Mandy agrees with me hands down ROFL! (I did tell her the parents were the worst part...I did tell her I was only kidding! Like any job some personalities are easier to work with than others, but for us those parents that we find a challenge move onto school before you know it -got to have a good teaching team though, 'cos we don't move onto school LOL!)

hear you on the paperwork!!!!!! It takes the joy out of the job, and away from the children.... as for the parents- I hear you..... but luckily the team balances this out.... if you dont gel with a child or family- someone else will...... so on and so on..... hard also to be a 'people person' all day everyday!!!!!! that's the challenge i suppose...

love you layouts.... you really are the circle queen aren't you!!! love them- i am so behind.....my prob dont have the photos and the closest camera shop ages away now.... may be a holiday job I feel

Awesome awesome layouts Trace - I espcially like the "many branches" one - the pp and the bird are awesome!

Looks like you had a fab day yesterday ... such a nice shop to scrap in. I think I've said it before ... but I love, love, love your circle layouts. Specially love the many branches one this time. Kindy paperwork must be nasty ... I moan about having to sign Jessi in and out ... and really moaned when they lost my enrollment forms and I had to fill them all in again! I guess I shouldn't really moan when the teachers have sooooo much more to deal with.

Oh, you were sneaky with that camera, weren't you?!
I LOVE all of your BOM layouts, they turned out stunningly. Yesterday was definitely one of those tough days for me. I bought all the wrong photos, and I got overwhelmed. But I think the retreat will be good with opportunities for breaks (walks, naps, etc) and you can just go at your own pace.
It was still lovely to see you yesterday!

Oh, and I'm definitely one of those NICE and GOOD parents ... I really can't understand the ones who want to rock the boat and cause problems. As a mum, you have to trust your kids' teachers - they really do know what they are doing! You guys (teachers) are priceless in my eyes :-)

I love crops, not for the scrapping but the chatting, laughs, sharing tools and papers etc and the compnay. If I get anything done its a bonus. I find I get more done at home on my own. I have to say I too am taken with the many branches layout.

your scrapping style sounds about exactly like me - and I'm not very productive at crops either - I think we might be twins!LOL

OMG, these are absolutely stunning, Trace!

You are like the Circle Queen! You really are.

I'm particularly in love with the final one with the pohutakawa tree.

Wow Trace you have done a fabulous job with these. I would so love to see your album. Love the photo of the rings and your take on the pre-scrapping days.

I totally know what you mean about daytime crops - In about 4 hours I completed one layout.

Trace, at least you got one page done and others started, which is more than I did - and you left well before me! I was totally intimidated by the work going on around me, and I am so good at procrastinating! But never fear, I finished my page today in time for the Olympics, lol. You were sneaky with that camera; I tried to hide but too late! And I really did believe you when you said parents - I can imagine some of them can't be easy! But I guess the paperwork must be a bit of a nightmare, too. BTW, gorgeous pages!!

Loving your circle style BOM pages Trace! It's a really neat theme you have there, and you seem to rock that shape.
