Boy it's hard to think of titles for my blog LOL! I popped along to Deb's for a crop yesterday - when she first put up the date I knew I already had stuff on, but wanted to pop in for a little while. Having finished the care2crop album I got this dropped off to her and I did a bit of a grab and run from my stash so didn't get much done but got to meet Jane and Janet both of whom I hadn't met before, which was good. Love being able to put a face to a name. Am looking forward to catching up with Jane when we go down to Hamilton for the Waikato crop - and LOL I will be better organised then, but don't be suprised if sometime mid to late afternoon I start reading mags or making cards, as I find my eyes get sore, and one starts getting bloodshot - and as I'm the driver best I have both eyes working properly! I've had them tested and apparently it justs dries out a bit, same thing happens if I drive for too long at night.
I couldn't believe how cold it got yesterday! Friends came over for the afternoon/evening and said at lunchtime it was six degrees. Now you have to remember us Aucklanders generally aren't equipped for that temperature...no double glazing on our houses, and while more and more are getting heat pumps, they aren't as common up here as down south. I ended up getting thermals on. Poor old dog and cat kind of shot out the door, did what they had to and were back in like a shot!
So today along with the washing, and a bit of gardening I finished the Friday night challenge over at Sketchbook. It feels great to be getting into some challenges again, having been to busy to get stuck in.
I have a huge list for the holidays, of all sorts of jobs and I can't wait to work through it. It always feels great when you get everything accomplished that you've been wanting to do for ages. A lot of it's general house stuff, eg the gardening, each day theres a visit somewhere, eg the hairdresser etc, some of it's scrapbooking and I have my appraisal in August so am hoping to get that done, and I have feedback to write for a student and send in as well.
Hope your all wrapped up warm, and I don't know about anywhere else but at least it's only blowing a gale here, the rain has stopped for the time being!
Hmmm for some reason I now only get a bunch of words when I upload a photo, any ideas why? Is it something I've set? Means I can't drag the photo down to where I want it...

I know what you mean about the lists.... my holiday list was so long... luckily I managed to do some of it over the weekend, but I am like you...dentist, hairdresser, car..... as for the crop that's what they are about chillin and scrappin.... I too have to break otherwise I get brain fuzz.... oh yeah and love the layout... i did mine on friday in a rush.... happy to have it in as hadn;t done any for the last few weeks.. oh well off to get the washing in before the sun goes down....mandyb
Listen to you ... thermals on in that sort of temperature ... wait until you head south - you will need your thermals then - ROFLMAO.
Love the combination on your layout ... woo hoo!
Love your layout and the way you have stamped your chipboard! Sounds like a productive weekend :)
I struggle with titles for my posts too! I look forward to meeting you at the Waikato crop :)
Was nice to see you again yesterday Trace, even if it was only for a couple of hours. Your red/white/blue LO is awesome, I love it.
Yep, it was COLD yesterday! You are right, it sounds funny that us Aucklanders complain about the cold but we aren't used to it and our houses are NOT made for it. So it's all totally justified moaning, IMO! ROFL :-)
LOOOOOVE the layout :) and I second that, man it has been cold as up here too, rusty is the same goes outside for like one second and then shoots back to the fire hee hee so cute
YAY holidays, cant wait to see what you get up to xox
I soooo know what you mean about thinking up blog titles ... I spend a lot of time thinking that one through. Great layout - I can't believe the great red, white and blue layouts people are coming up with(stampin'scrap had that as the girls nite in challenge)- i never use that colour combo so i am amazed at how good it can look!
A large part of crops for me is the socailising and putting faces to names and hanging out and the scrapping is a bonus. Love the layout its striking. Now enjoy your facial over the break and I am pleased you have a few nice things thrown in there amongst the raft of chores.
It was lovely to meet you to Trace and I will get around to finding out my boys dominant left /right.
I know what you mean about being cold I have really felt it very chilly. Now my eyes do the same and I have these great little eye drop thingy's so I will make sure I have some on me for the crop.
OMG you mean you don't have double glazing and heat pumps up there!!! Wouldn't build a house without it now. LOL. Better toughen up Trace if you are heading south! ROFL
