The end of the holidays

These wee chaps have come to live at our house for a year or so. I am having nothing to do with them, they are Lyall's 'project' as they are ultimately going to end up in a freezer. Of course I know where meat comes from, just not sure how I feel about it when it's 'meat' that I knew - sad but true ;-) And no, they don't have names for that very reason!

When we first shifted down here (three years ago can you believe!!) Dad brought me Photoshop Elements and I have struggled to get to grips with it over these past years. I had booked on a course last year, but thanks to Mother Nature it was cancelled. So anyway, I ended up purchasing a couple of Jessica Sprague online course - well crikey, that was money well spent. Her online classes are excellent, and if you've ever thought about doing any of them I can highly recommend it.

While I am no whizz at Photoshop still, at least I'm gaining an understanding of how it works (at my beginner level lol) and aren't shutting it down in frustration. The other great thing about JS classes, is that they are always there, you can keep referring to them if something isn't working the way you think it should (and then you look at the video again and go 'oh, that's right, press...lol).

Other than that, my week has been filled with carpet shampooing and other household chores...and a lovely day out with my twinnie for my birthday (if you haven't checked out the Scrappin Patch sale, then I suggest you do!)

Back to work for me this week, no kids, but plenty of paperwork and set up. Have a great week everyone.

Good idea to not name Lyall's projects. Well done on the photoshop challenge and feeling more confident with it's use. Enjoy your first week back at work sans children.

Back to work - enjoy the peace and quiet before the kids come back! I have one more week until I go on holiday, how's that for opposite ends of the spectrum?! So looking forward to my break. I'm sure you have thoroughly enjoyed yours :-)

Love the colours of the calves. I once touched some meat that was still warm after Phil killed it - I couldn't eat the meat at all after that!
