Hard to believe as I sit here with the sun streaming in the windows, the washing on the line and the lawns all mowed, that the beginning of the week heralded a 'once in fifty years' snowstorm... As you can see from the photos we too enjoyed being hammered by the white stuff - actually the four legged critters enjoyed it and we loved watching them lol. Mind you I say the four legged critters, but once again the cat hated it. Apparently it was my fault that it was snowing...picture this, early hours of Tuesday morning and Tui scratches to go out - I get up, open the door, she looks out and is like 'no way Mum'. She stays in, I go back to bed...she scratches again - repeat the above three times. On the third time as I hop back into bed she attacks my legs!! I tell you cat, it's not my fault!!! (and yes she did have a litterbox all prepared for her since we'd had plenty of warning about the weather - but she'd still prefer outside).
So I ended up with three snow days off work. I got stuck in on my work laptop Monday morning and got as much done as I could. Then there was a bit of baking to be had (if you're stuck at home, you might as well eat well lol!) and a bit of scrapbooking to be done and a few books to be read (while snuggled up in bed, with the electric blanket on). Shame I had to hop out of that bed a few times and go and make sure the chooks were warm, fed, watered and clean, as they too were confined to barracks.
Yesterday Donna and I spent a nice morning wandering around Dunkley's craft show. I haven't been to one of them in years, so it was nice to see what was about and also just to wander round and forget about life for a while. I also managed to get a present for a friend, Dad's Father's day gift and of course no trip would be complete without a scrapbooking item or two. While we were out, Lyall finished our carport roof, just some trellis to put on the sides and a bit of painting and it's all done. Nice to have another job ticked off the list.
Here's wishing you all a fab week, with lots of sunshine.

Looks like he is having a Ball..Cracking up at what Tui did to you, but at the same time I guess its not too funny to be attacked by a cat..
