That's right - I've just dropped my sister in law and Mother in law off at the airport and while I wait for another load of washing to finish I thought I would jump on here quickly. Tomorrow my friend Nic and her two girls arrive and are staying till Friday, so we'll be busy visitng lots of kid friendly places (they are pretty excited I tell you lol!).
Once again Christchurch has turned on beautiful weather for the whole of their stay, which meant we were out and about each day. They arrived Thursday night, on Friday we had breakfast at Seagars before having a bit of a drive in the country and ending up at a cheese shop and then a wander around Rangiora's shops before heading home, where the MIL promptly fell asleep on the couch, so SIL and I took the dogs into the dog park for a run and had a wee visit at the Citta outlet shop, where I managed to purchase a few things...as did she (she's ended up having to take one of my bags home to fit her 'few' things in LOL!) Citta is a homewares shop.
Saturday saw us off to the Farmers Market at Riccarton house as previously suggested by Heidi - and it was fab, we'll be visiting there again. And again. And again. Other than that it was just a bit more driving around, checking things out, the odd bit of shopping. Saturday night and I was in the stands watching the Crusader's play, dressed in red and black as required lol. What a fabulous stadium and so easy to get parking and only a very short time spent in traffic before a quick run home.
Sunday and Donna and I decided to take Danny and Darcy to Bark in the Park. They loved it and Darcy having got home just after lunch Darcy crashed for the day, poor tuckered out puppy. Part of the day was a short three km walk, however, I had to carry Darcy for some of the walk, as did Donna with Dan - it's a long way when you only have little Danny legs lol. The rest of the family did more sightseeing, which they enjoyed.
Enjoy your week - I'm off to clean the house, hang out the washing and sort out the stuff that's just been thrown in my scrap room!
