Finally I've sat and produced a layout -feels like a long time since I did that (apart from the class last week, but that doesn't count, no brain work involved there lol!). This is for the sketch challenge over at Scrappin Patch. I'm determined to use some of my old photos...so you should see more of them on my layouts.
The other photo is that cat of mine. With the slightly cooler weather over the last few days she has hunted out the sunny spots as only a cat can! She stretches herself right out just to lap up every last ounce of sun. If your not a cat person you won't like the next bit...but she has also hopped under the blankets again now that the nights a bit nippy. At least tonight there will be plenty of room - Lyall is in the Naki for the night as he had a delivery down there.
If you are on Sketchbook - and I think most of you are - could you please go to the newbies introducing themselves page and say a big hello to Deb? She's one of my lovely Mum's at work. I've taught her oldest daughter for a little while and last week she was doing parent help and using our Cricut and of course she knew what this was all about as she's a long time scrapbooker, so I sent her home with a few forum addy's!
To answer a couple of questions...
Beverley my friend no way would I be going digital, I love buying stuff too much. Oh no, really I mean I love cutting, gluing, etc etc! Will just have fun with photoshop playing around with photos. I'm sure there's some way I could air brush myself skinny on it... must find out how??!!
Viv - we have Milo's ashes at home with us now. When we shift it will be to our long time house. While you can never say never, the plan is we won't shift out of our next house until they carry us out in a box, or we just can't cope living there without help etc. So we have planned to put Mum's ashes and Milo's ashes under a special tree which we will plant. A good family friend was buried with his labby's ashes, so I guess that would be another idea.
Right, I have another layout half done so I'd better do a bit more of that, and our programme's on tonight isn't it twinnie, so best I be off. Those friends off to Dunner's this weekend, have the best time ever!

Trace you need to put Followers on your side bar so that I can see everytime you update. Cute page by the way.
cute layout Trace, are those the stampin up stamps you used on there? Scrap camp isn't until next weekend.....I think its the same weekend as the Auckland one too. Nice idea about the ashes too.
Awesome layout Trace - Awww what an awesome idea about you're mums and milos ashes...so sweet and nearly made me cry!
Trace, I sleep with a cat on my feet and a dog under the blankets when it gets cold! Vinnie keeps me snug and stretches out and tries to push Gavin out of bed!
A friend is keeping all her dogs to be buried with her, she has 4 so far. Her husband told her she'd better hurry and get herself buried or there wouldn't be any room left for her! Very sensitive! LOL.
As the owner of three cats - I understand! Nice idea about the ashes and I like your l/o
Another lovely layout ... good idea to use older photos, I've got a few of those too. I totally understand your cats thinking ... was searching for that spot in the sunshine to curl up in myself today ... does that mean I've got cat-like tendencies? Oh and when you find out the secret to airbrushing yourself thin ... let me know ... I'll be getting photoshop for sure!
I like that layout! Cute stamps you have used on it.
Have said "hello" to your friend Debbie on the Sketch Book. Great that you can share a hobby with the Kindy mums, I think that's very cool.
