News of the week...

The weeks are just flying by are they not?

For Christmas, we shouted my nephew and his wife, an engagement photo shoot.   When we were up in Auckland they kindly lent me the disc so I could get some of the photos that were done, (as I don't have enough scrapbooking material lol).  Talk about gorgeous photos...  They were taken by an old scrapbooking friend, Neen (Janine), who I know most of you will know or at least heard of.

In a couple of weeks my brother and two mates are coming down for a long weekend.  So looking forward to that.  Though the boys all might head to Hanmer on Saturday, and I won't worry about squashing in the car and joining them.  The long range weather forecast isn't looking that flash, but as we know the weathers always on the change, so time will tell.

We have a very lame pig at the moment and Donna has spent nearly a thousand in vet bills on him, so he'd darn well better get better!  It's most likely a strain or tear to a muscle (they can't x-ray but don't think it's a break).  So he's on bed rest so to speak...he's got a tiny fenced off area next to his house, he's being hand fed so he doesn't have to walk far and he's getting three disprin every few hours.  The vet said if he's eating and drinking then he isn't in much pain, and really it's just time more that anything.  As humans we can stay in the warm, put our feet up or use crutches and allow healing to take place, but that's not so easy for a fat piggy!  Mind you, he probably wouldn't mind lying in front of the fireplace with the dogs...shame he's got too big for that luxury.  And no, they aren't dirty, they are actually very clean animals and easy to house train!

I have layout envy!  All you girls who were at the Glentui Retreat, got so many done.  I'm thinking I might have to spend a weekend or two scraplifting.  Need a snow week lol.  C'mon weather, play the part, let me stay home, snow outside, fire going, but no power break please. Oh and make it that Lyall doesn't have to go to work either, and then he can feed the cows etc instead of me!!
 Don't ask for much do I ;-)

Well I guess that's all my news for now.  Have a great week.
