This week...

While I can’t say I’ve been overly creative in the scraproom this week, I’ve watched Dad and Lyall be artists in our house. They spent yesterday putting up our new wallpaper. We had a quote of seven hundred to have it hung...seventy dollars later at Mitre ten and we had everything we needed to do the job ourselves. Handy having a Dad who knows what to do! Now, according to Dad I can go and spend the money we saved from having a tradie do it, on my new curtains for our master bedroom. Guess I’ll be shopping for curtains over the next few weeks then :-)

Now the reason I haven’t been overly creative in the scrappy room is that this Tuesday sees me going to have an ultrasound done on my shoulder/arm, which I appear to have injured in some form or another. If it turns out to be torn then it’s into hospital for an operation, if not it’s possibly a cortisone injection into the shoulder. I am hoping it’s the second option – I imagine it’s a bit on the painful side but the recovery has to be much quicker (though they did say I can’t work or do anything for three days after the jab!) However it’s stopped me from feeling creative and I just walk into the room, move a few papers around on my desk and walk back out again ;-(

Today we headed off to small dog Sunday. This always tuckers the mob out, which means we have a quiet day afterwards! It also means I can pop my photos for Project Life into Harvey Norman to get developed, so I have them sitting there ready to go into the album – I think I can probably manage that LOL.

Now back in January I turned another year older and my good friend Michelle Frisby made me this absolutely gorgeous piece of art.  I had to keep it top secret (ya know, or it would have self destructed ;-)  as it was going on the Kaiser blog a couple of months later.  So Mum was the word, but a few weeks ago she gave me the okay to share, and finally I took it down and took some photos of it (which I probably should have done before I hung it up lol).  How lucky am I to be the recipient of such beauty.

Well I guess that's about it in my neck of the woods.  Like everyone else we are  hoping for rain.  Those ugly chicks of mine have never seen rain :-)  Maybe some rain will turn them into beautiful chickens?    Have a great week everyone.

And twinnie, thanks for the dinosaurs.  I had to eat their heads off LOL.  (You know, like the ad for the dinosaur lollies!)

LOVE the wallpaper ... and that you are making your home gorgeous in your own style ... yay for Dad's that know how to wallpaper. Sorry you haven't been feeling creative ... hope that arm gets sorted quickly. And lucky you having a Mrs F original on your wall ... nice.

Good luck with the ultrasound. The wallpaper looks great and biting off the dinosaur heads first is only way to eat them. LOL

That's no good about your arm/shoulder Trace. Keep us posted. Hope you can have a speedy recovery. Cute as doggie pic 'flying' through the air. LOVING that canvas too. xo

Wow, that wallpaper is stunning! And lucky you, being the recipient of Mrs Frizz' beautiful creation.

I'm so sorry to hear about your shoulder, I hope the news is what you want to hear, and that you get some relief from the injection (or surgery if you have to go down that path). I hope you won't have to resort to that. Take care of yourself.

Hugs x

Sorry to hear about your shoulder. Good that you're getting on to it. I injured mine some time back and now it is 'frozen' and not really coming right. Best of luck. That striped wallpaper looks very cool. Belated happy birthday:)

Sitting here playing catch up ... love, love, love that wall paper - just quietly ... not so good on the jab thing --- yee-ouch and I had a wee giggle to myself, just as well it didn't self destruct. LOL.
