That on Friday our house went unconditional...Yep, that means we will be moving south at some point in the not too distant future (depends on building versus' buying etc).
It also means I need to make some scrapbooking decisions. My sister's house is two bedroom. There will be three of us living in it with a cat and a dog. I would have to be a kitchen table scrapper. I don't know if I can be bothered dragging my stuff out and then putting it away again. I don't know how I'd choose what to pack and what not to pack. Part of me thinks just pack the lot and then it's like Christmas in six or so months when it gets unpacked. Part of me thinks keep out a basic kit and purchase a monthly kit, everything matches, sketches come with it...might be something that works in between for me. What would you do? What other suggestions can you come up with?
On the plus side the buyers have asked if we can move forward settlement, so we will be shifting on the 20th of March, no worries about the retreat weekend then. But I will have to have a well executed pack of page kits to work on. There is just no way I can take all my supplies with me to my sisters.
A big thanks to the fabulous Neen. I got a lovely parcel in the post yesterday Neen. Can you see me doing cheers to you with my can of coke ROFL!? And congrats Mrs Frizz, I see you are gracing the pages of UP2Scrap once again, with another stunning layout.
No Valentines stuff happening here. I babysat for friends from lunch till midnight yesterday, as they had a wedding to go to. The youngest is two and if I hear the word 'why' again I think I'll scream ROFL. No seriously, I think I will! Jules, I went to Kmart yesterday morning but nothing very exciting to report - I haven't forgotten though...I will continue to keep my eyes open...
Enjoy your Sunday ladies. I think I'd better finish the layout on my desk. And pack some stuff. And search the net for a new house...

Maybe you could take over the lounge...or would your sister sleep in the car? LOL!
I know if I have my stuff packed up, it doesn't get touched at all.
Hope you are still in Auckland for Senz cos we really have to meet up !
Thats great news for you Trace. As for the scrappy stuff I would probably pack the lot (except the basic tools) and just buy either a monthly kit to keep you up to date with all the new stuff or even the BG collection packs. Hope you have got lots of boxes!!! LOL
Great new on the house front Trace. As for the scrapbooking stuff I think i would keep out the basic stuff and maybe you could find a suitable container to have a few extras like a coupleof ribbons and embellishments in that without haveing your whole stash out.
Awesome on the house sale ... woo hoo ...
I'm the wrong person to be asking about which scrapping supplies to keep out and which ones to pack away - ROFLMAO ... funny that!!!
South ... South ... South !!!
South ... South ... South !!!
South ... South ... South !!!
Great news especially in the current financial times. I would keep out your tools and buy kits each month. Also, you could madly pack some of your own kits now
hey congrats on the house going unconditional and the settlement date being sooner. Not long them until you can move down South and start work on your dreams (all three of you) Gosh your dad will miss all of you. I agree pack the lot keep basics and make some page kits between now and moving date and buy list in between.
Definitely need to keep the essentials handy ... scissors, glue, ruler ... are all useful even for non scrappy jobs. It sounds like monthly kits are the way to go ... one pizza box of supplies is not too hard to get out and pack up again assuming the kitchen table is needed for eating off! Enjoy the house/land hunting.
That's great news on the house, Trace!! I like Vicki's idea about what to do with all the scrapping stuff too ... ;-)
OK ... make up some kits with some matching stuff that you have into bags. Rationalise your stuff ... get rid of stuff you haven't used for a while ... chances are that if you pack it up, it's never gonna be more attractive to use on the other end!!LOL Keep your tools and alphas handy. And purchase a couple of those see-thru plastic storage crates on wheels from the wharehouse then you can scrap anywhere ...
