So it's about time I updated my poor old neglected blog!
A few weeks ago a wonderful weekend was had in Kaikoura with a bunch of wonderful people. Here are some photos of that weekend. As good little scrapbookers we are, there are a few hundred more photos around...you know, five of us each with a camera, well there wasn't much that didn't end up not being recorded for future prosperity.
We had a bit of fun with Lotto that weekend. We all put in and brought a joint ticket, which we won the princely sum of thirty seven dollars. We then reinvested this and got another ticket and a scratchy each. Two of those then one three dollars each. When I checked the ticket we'd brought I found we'd won a bonus line. So while we aren't quite in the money, its been a bit of fun. We can't quite build our own scrap retreat just yet though ;-)
At the end of term Dad and I headed off to Wellington for what was meant to be the week, but ended up being just a few days. I'm sure Georgie cat who we were looking after, was pleased for the company and just as pleased to have us out of the house and off home. No more having to share her couch!
While in Welligton we visited Weta Workshop, Te Papa, and Mt Victoria.
I love the Interislander and crossing over the Cook Strait. Both trips we got to see dolphins. Common dolphins on the way over and Dusky dolphins on the way home. Both trips were like sailing on a mill pond. Calm as.
Then it was onto the train and home. Can't beat the train for a relaxing way to travel.
With this unexpected early return home, I had some time on my hands, so the wardrobes have had the big clean out, along with a few other good to get out of the way jobs. I've also finished a bit of scrapbooking. I had two layouts from a Nic Howard kit to do. As I did them I remembered how much I love fussy cutting and layering...I also had a half done layout sitting on my desk so I finished that. It's clean and simple, and I love that too. You'd think after all these years I'd have found my own style...but I like both of these lol. Oh well I know there are some styles that aren't me!
Hmm it won't let me upload these layout photos. So I'm going to hit publish and then do another post just with them on...
