20 Days of work left...

Whoops I hit publish post, instead of upload photo LOL. Sorry about that!

Here's the latest pictures on Donna's house.

This week I found little red spider mites in my chicken coop. These are those tiny little red spiders you might see around, and I mean tiny - they are like the size of the pointy end of a pin. At night they hop on the hens and suck their blood, which if left, causes them to become anemic. So on Thursday night I had to take out all the wood shaving, waterblast the coop, and then leave it to dry (and the girls had to go to bed in our spare duck rearing hutches - they weren't impressed!).

On Friday I then sprayed it with bug stuff - being a spider they aren't difficult to kill, but can be hard to eradicate on a permanent basis. Wild birds etc all carry them around with them. Then Friday night I could put in new shavings and the girls could head back to bed. This change of bedding etc, makes for expensive eggs LOL. Still you can't have them suffer.

Well I really should go, I have Project Life photos waiting to go into the album, and they won't do that themselves...

Have a fabulous week.

wow those red spiders sound dreadful, but like you said you can't have them suffer. Donna's house is coming along nicely. It must have been a sight seeing the balloon turn towards you and have the people start talking to you.

20 Days - I just had to go and count on the calendar (well it is 19 now)- I didn't realise it was looming that fast - so much to do it will whizz past. Good luck with the spider eradication.
