I spent this morning finishing off my recipes for the swap over at Scrappin Patch along with the sketch challenge for the same forum. Along came Donna who suggested we head over to the beach with Danny for his first taste of this part of life. Arriving at the beach we found a wee visitor...isn't he just the cutest! Danny had an absolute ball and met some other big dogs who were great with him and it's so good for him to be out socialising - makes for a great adult dog. It's been a picture postcard sort of a day. Not a cloud in the sky nor a breath of wind - just lovely.
On the job front, I've been enjoying a weeks reliving at a kindergarten, and will be there for the next two weeks as well. Poor old Lyall is really struggling to get a job and is looking for things to do around the house. We know this situation will change at some point, just don't know when that point is going to be!
Now the red sky photo was Wednesday morning this week (Thursday was just as good) - but it was kind of that 'red sky in the morning, sailors take warning' as we then were hit with gales and rain like a lot of the country. No drama's though unlike poor old Wellington.
This Friday my nephew and his partner arrive for the weekend as does Donna's friend! So it's going to be a full house here - love that!
Have a good week people.

Very cool photos Trace and what a surprise to find a seal there on the beach. Bet Danny had a blast. Going to have to have a look at this recipe book next time I'm out.
Love those photos!
We say red sky at night - shepherds delight - red sky in the morning - shepherds warning.
Love the way you caught the dog in the middle of running - cute little floppy ears!
Looks like it really was a picture postcard kind of day ... love the photos ... Danny looks like he had a great time at the beach. We had a beautiful day here too ... quite a surprise after the last couple of days! Good news that you've got plenty of relieving ... I'm sure Lyall will find a job soon and then he'll be longing for some time off to do stuff around the house!
The weathers definitely turning ... summers coming!! sssshhh! don't tell! How great to see a seal at the beach!
Beautiful journalling Trace ... tear jerker material - just remember that Dad is only ever a phone call away or a flight for that matter ... hang in there. There is always an adjustment period.
Gorgeous photos, Trace and little Danny is still too cute! We say the same as Nicki. We had a beautiful day in Wellington today too - made up for the last few days' aweful weather
Wow, stunning photos! That could pass for a beautiful sunset. Like Nicki & Jenny we use the "shepherd" saying ;-)
Danny is SO cute!!
Awww! Cute photos Trace. Love those action shots with flying ears!
You're not feeling homesick are you? We cleaned out the shops while we were up there...no point in you going back!LOL! Those poor ladies at Arthurs must've got sick of us with lengths and lengths of lace!
Wow - you're so lucky getting so close to that lovely seal! Danny looks like he had a brilliant time.
Good luck to Lyall on the job seeking front.
Trace, I love that layout, can you tell me what brand the paper is and what is the lace behind the photo
Your wee fur baby is just the cutest
