We were mucking about at home yesterday, as you do, when we got a phone call. A friend of ours who travels a lot with his work was stuck in Wanaka as Queenstown airport was shut, and was likely to remain that way for the next three days, so he was turning up on our doorstep later that night. He duly did and it was great to see him. Even better we made him work for his keep lol - he's a bit of a computer whizz and so now I have Skype and sound. LOL what a difference having sound makes. Yep, I did used to have sound, but since shifting the speakers gave up the ghost but he did stuff to the computer and wiring and now the ones on the actual computer work again...they haven't worked for a couple of years! And by the way, he managed to fly out of Christchurch this morning no probs, even though it was a bit foggy here as well (though that was at home, it could well have been clear in town).

More photos of Danny, and you'll notice that him and Tui are getting closer to each other. There's been a bit of ear sniffing and nose touching and a wallop from Tui to Danny, which made him yelp. Gotta put him in his place! Tui has been off to the vet for a visit, with what turned out to be just a sore muscle - she woke up a bit sore and stiff and I was a bit concerned that an abscess might be forming, but the vet couldn't find anything and a jab of anti inflammatory seems to have done the trick. There's a bit of terrotorial war going on between her and other cats that have lived in the area longer lol.

Only one layout accomplished this weekend. Just seemed to be busy, but if you actually asked me what I've done, well it doesn't seem like much lol!

I'm looking forward to this coming weekend when I'll be off on scrapcamp with Heidi, Vicki and Janine - totally looking forward to a weekend away. Going to catch up with Gaye tomorrow for a hot choccy before I go off to get my hair done (it will be good to be able to see again LOL!) And the other brilliant thing happening this week - my darling nephew, his girlfriend and my brother are all coming down on Wednesday - they are flying back on Thursday night, but am so looking forward to seeing them all. Now it's a shame that I have to work and will only see them on Wednesday night. Very sucky! Still we'll make the most of it, and at least Lyall will be home with them.
