The first one is for the Celebrity challenge, four different colours of cardstock, a monogram and a hand cut title (in my case I used the Sizzix)

It's got to Sunday and I'm printing out photos and trying to get myself organised because I've finally realised that SENZ is nearly here LOL! I kept thinking...plenty of time, but I have to work the next two days (professional development tomorrow and set up on Tuesday) and then it's the road trip down, come Wednesday, whoops better get sorted! So what am I doing, well my scrapbooking 'stuff' of course - I'll worry about some clothes etc come Tuesday night...
Last week was just one of 'those' weeks. Lyall has found out that he will need surgery on his shoulder (which is what happens I guess when you don't sit still like the doctor said to do...)but the biggest bummer for me is that it falls on the Thursday before the retreat so I am going to miss out on the retreat. But alas sometimes you just have to put your hubby first ROFL...
And then the car was giving off this sulphury kind of a smell. So I got Lyall to take it to work (I usually drive it - we are a two car family)and he got to work and told me that the alternator has given up the ghost which has taken out the battery (hence the sulphur smell) which threw the headlights and one of the tailights. That's his mechanic speak not mine! About a thousand dollars later and the car is now fixed. Could have been worse, Lyall was a mechanic before he came off the tools so while we put it into a diesel place to get fixed because he wouldn't have got the time before I needed it this week, they wanted to charge him quite a bit more for parts that he could get a lot cheaper...so he got the parts and they did the work.
I went to a pirate party today (Mandy M who some of you will get to meet down at SENZ, her youngest turned five) and one of the Aunties was there doing a pirate show. Have you seen or heard of the Aunties? They do quite a few different shows and I'm pretty sure they are nation wide. They used to have a tv show. She was excellent - one of the funny things she did was make two balloon swords and then in pairs the kids had sword fights, that was fun...and a great way to completely hype them up! Because of course they weren't hyped enough, with it being a birthday party and all!

wow you are busy over the next week... I too am needing some photos... so better get sorted myself... as for the layouts.... well done - you have been busy. Hope the car and your man's shoulder is ok...
sorry to hear about Lyall and his shoulder, and then the car as well. Doesn't time fly when your having fun though. I do remember the aunties. I am looking forward to catch up with you next week. Lovely layouts too. Are you driving all in one hot on Wednesday? Is you sister driving down with you now?
Did the aunties sing funny songs? Think I may have a tape somewhere... Not good about Lyall's shoulder ... really not good that you miss the retreat ... hopefully the surgery will fix the problem and he will actually rest afterwards and give it time to heal. See you later in the week. :o)
LOs are fab - I esp love the celebrity challenge one - WTG!! Bummer about your car - but at least it's fixed now! Shame about hubbys shoulder - and the timing of the op!! how inconsiderate!!LOL
Lyall, Lyall, Lyall .. not good on the shoulder front ... I can only hope that you do as Doc Trace says following surgery and I wish you a speedy recovery!!! [just remember to do as you are told] ... have you got one of those 52" screens yet ... if so, you'll be able to plonk down in front of it, relax and heal!!!

Oh, such a shame Trace, I am really going to miss you at the Retreat! I guess Lyall won't be able to look after himself though, after surgery... Two great layouts, but I especially love the Truck one, it looks fantastic! I think you should win the challenge (shame I'm not judging). Have heaps of fun at SENZ!!
I'm sad you can't come to the retreat, Trace! But hey, your hubby and his health definitely comes first. Hope everything goes well - and that Lyall realises how you really SHOULD follow Dr's orders! Men!

Such a lot going on for you there Trace. Hope Lyalls shoulder is OK and talk about bad timing. At least you got the car fixed before your long drive. I'm sure if you forget something for SENZ you can always buy it there.
