My apologies if I haven't been commenting on your posts - thanks to TW I've now changed from Bloglines to Google Reader as there were a a few who weren't showing up as new posts (and LOL Tracy LR, your posts are as great as ever to read, just didn't know you were out there LOL!)
The packing starts today...We have a massage chair. Yep, one of the ones you see in the malls. And yes it is great...however when we go to sell the house it really doesn't fit in with the overall look, so Dad is going to look after it for us. I'm sure he will check it on the odd ocassion to make sure it is still working well LOL! Lots of other stuff will start to go into a storgage facility. The chairs a bit too much of an odd shape to take up the room in the storage facility and we can't put boxes etc on it. Needless to say some of my scrapbooking supplies will have to be packed away (not all, couldn't quite cope with that!). We've decided that we'll keep the house on the market till the end of March and if it hasn't sold by then, we'll take it off, and try again later on in the year, or whenever we think the market suits. However houses out here are still selling, so I don't forsee too many problems, but life does throw some curve balls sometimes so you just don't know!
My dog and cat aren't particulary fond of the rain (and really what animal is?)so with it pouring down on Friday morning I left them inside and phoned my sister to see if she'd go round later (we only live a couple of streets away from each other) and let the out. She arrived about ten to a happy dog and a cat crying. Tui had managed to get herself caught up in the curtain puller for the roman blinds, she had it wrapped around her foot. The computer keyboard was on the floor. The two chairs were tipped over. The sewing machine was on the floor. She had panicked big time. As you would. So Donna sorted her out and brought her into me at work. Fortunately we were staffed in such a way that I was able to whip up to the vets with her. I had thought they would have to knock her out for the afternoon and x-ray her, but no, the vet said nothing is broken, gave her a painkiller and sent us on our way. The curtains now have those little tie hook things. One of those jobs we kept meaning to do...Lucky to that because she was hand reared she loves the car and just goes to sleep in her cat cage.
As well as the packing and normal household stuff I need to do today, I have to go gather up some lollies and gingernuts. My nineteen year old nephew is off to Tonga at the end of the month. He'll spend about three days there and then is helping to crew a yacht back to NZ, which will take about ten days sailing. Fortunately he's had a heap of sailing experience,(offshore as well as inshore). The joy of this one, is that it isn't a race, so I can stock him up on goodies before he leaves as there is no weight limit! Also it's a crew he's spent a few years racing with so they know each other well and are experienced. But you still worry...
Happy birthday for yesterday Michelle - hope dinner out was lovely!
Have a good Sunday all!

also I'm with you on google reader it is SO much better.... used it from the start as found bloglines too hard and had heard mixed reviews..... google reader gets a 10/10 from me!!!!
Ok - I've missed something here. Is your house on the market? Thought you had been busy cos haven't "seen" you around but would be guessing this is why. All the best for packing and don't envy you one little bit with it. LOL
Oh no ... not good on the kitty front - panic is an understatement ... poor wee mite!!!
Hey you ... you could always send your scrapping supplies south early ... I could babysit for you ...
Thanks for the birthday wishes buddy ...
Good luck selling the house. One day the blind at my desk fell down - not really a problem but my cat has a bed on the corner of the desk and she got such a fright so I can sympathise with your cat. My cat got such a fright but it was really funny at the same time
Poor Tui!! curiosity killed the cat ...!! I guess you're doing the storage thing while the house is on the market to make it look more spacious...?? or is this a 'permanent' storage thing?
Ohhhh poor kitty ok though.
Sounds like it's going to be a working bee at your place. Have fun!
pleased to hear Tui was ok. Phew at your sister being able to check on them. Oh at packing, I hate packing and prefer unpacking. At least you have a plan and some timeframes so lots of good things to look forward too.
Yeah, I'm with Mandy ... when do you move? I hope the packing went well. It must be a big job!
LOVE that layout for your BOM. Just stunning!
I have some blogs set up on Google Reader but still use Bloglines as I'm so familiar with it and I find GR quite slow ...
I'm using google reader thanks to mandyb and loving it I hadn't had anything like this before. It saves so much time - so much so I'm starting to comment and not just lurking on your Blogs ok so it also helped that we got to meet some of you at Senz
Good luck packing up It is always such a huge job
Wow, Trace, gorgeous layout, really lovely. Glad you are still enjoying my posts, lol!! I have given up on bloglines and have GR now too. Ohhh, and poor wee Tui! She must have been so frightened. Luckily no lasting damage. Good luck to your nephew, and with the house sale.
